# Talk to Your Chart: An AI Oracle Grounded in Real Astrology

Ask anything — love, money, timing — and get an answer read from your actual chart, not invented by a chatbot.

## Overview

Imagine asking your birth chart a direct question and getting a straight, specific answer. That's the AI Oracle: a conversational astrologer you can ask about love, career, money or timing, any hour. The catch that matters — it only answers from your computed chart and the classical texts, so it can't free-associate its way into fiction the way a generic chatbot does.

## What you can ask

Anything you'd bring to a good astrologer: 'Is this the right time to switch jobs?', 'Why do my relationships end the same way?', 'When does this hard phase lift?'. The Oracle reads your chart and running dasha to answer in context, not in platitudes.

## Why grounding changes everything

Because the astrology is computed before the AI speaks, the Oracle won't invent a planet you don't have or a period you're not in. It's the compute-first approach applied to conversation — the reason its answers are worth acting on. See Can AI Be Your Astrologer? for the full argument.

## Grounded, not guessed

A typical 'AI astrologer' is a language model riffing on your sun sign. Supastro's Oracle is pinned to your real, computed chart — Lagna, dasha, divisional charts — so its answers trace back to something true. More on that distinction in AI Astrologer: can you trust it?

## How Supastro calculates this

Positions come from NASA JPL ephemeris data on the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa. Divisional charts run D1 through D60 and the higher vargas to D150, Ashtakavarga uses the full 337-point bindu system, planetary strength uses Shadbala across all six sources, and Vimshottari dasha is nested five levels deep. Where an unknown birth time makes a conclusion unreliable, Supastro says so rather than guessing.
