> **The quick answer**
>
> **Best Astrotalk alternatives in 2026:** if you want a human astrologer at a lower or similar rate, try **AstroYogi** (₹12 to ₹116 a minute, 4.7 on Google Play) or **InstaAstro** (₹1 first consultation). For the widest choice of languages, **Anytime Astro** lists astrologers in 16 languages. If you want to stop paying by the minute altogether, use an app that computes your chart and answers questions: **Supastro** (free tier, no meter, every claim tied to your chart) or **Melooha** (question packs from ₹57 a question). Almost every marketplace refunds only to its own wallet, and none refunds a prediction that turns out wrong.

_Disclosure: Supastro publishes this article and is one of the alternatives listed. Prices were read from each platform's public pages while logged out, ratings from Google Play India and the App Store India, policies from each company's own terms. Figures last checked on 15 October 2026; per-minute prices change daily._

Astrotalk is India's largest astrology marketplace: 100M+ Play Store installs, a 4.6 rating from 1.73 million reviews, and ₹1,176 crore in operating revenue in FY25. People look for alternatives for three reasons: the per-minute meter, the quality lottery of picking an astrologer, and a refund policy that excludes accuracy entirely. Some alternatives fix one of those. A few fix all three.

## What you are actually paying for

Astrotalk alternatives fall into three business models, and the model decides how you pay and what you get:

_Figure: Three kinds of Astrotalk alternative: per-minute human marketplaces, AI apps that charge per question, and computed chart apps without a meter_

| Platform | Model | Price seen (logged out) | First consultation | Google Play (India) | App Store (India) |

## Which Astrotalk alternatives refund your money?

This is where the apps differ most, and where most users only look after something goes wrong. None of them refunds a prediction because it turned out to be wrong.

_Figure: Refund policies compared: most astrology marketplaces refund only to an in-app wallet within 24 hours, and none refunds for an inaccurate prediction_

| Platform | Where refunds go | Time limit | What the policy says |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Astrotalk | In-app wallet | 24 hours | No refund "in case of lack of accuracy" |
| AstroYogi | In-app wallet only | 24 hours | "Will not be refunded into the bank account" |
| InstaAstro | At its discretion | 2 hours of payment | No refund for "accuracy or outcome of predictions" |
| Anytime Astro | Wallet or original source | 24 hours | Once per user; not for calls that connected |
| AstroVed | In-app wallet | 24 hours | Reviewed against the recorded call |
| MyPandit | None for minutes | n/a | "Refund requests will not be entertained under any circumstances" |
| Melooha | Original payment method | 24 hours of purchase | Within 5–7 days |
| Supastro | Case by case | See policy | Duplicate charges, non-delivery and verified system errors are investigated |

> **Tip**
>
> Before you recharge any wallet, read the refund page. A wallet credit can only be spent on the same app, and most policies give you 24 hours or less to ask.

## 1. Supastro: best if you want to stop paying by the minute

Supastro is not a marketplace. It computes your chart from NASA JPL ephemeris data on the Lahiri ayanamsa (all 16 divisional charts, Shadbala, Ashtakavarga, Vimshottari to four levels and Yogini dasha) and answers your question in chat, citing the houses, charts and dashas behind each claim. For big decisions, a separate five-agent Council has three specialists argue over the chart while an independent Verifier checks their claims and a Chief keeps any disagreement visible. There is no meter: questions cost 2 to 4 credits, and the free tier includes 5 credits and 39 free tools.

**Supastro**

**Strengths**

- No per-minute meter; the free tier needs no card
- Every claim tied to a house, divisional chart or dasha
- Free marriage-timing, Manglik and compatibility tools
- No gemstone or puja upsells

**Limitations**

- No live human astrologer
- English interface only
- Web app, not in the app stores

## 2. AstroYogi: the closest like-for-like swap

AstroYogi (Netway India, since 2001) works like Astrotalk, with a smaller pool: "5,000+" professionals across 11 or more languages. Rates we saw ran from ₹12 promotional deals to ₹116 a minute, and the first chat is free. It is rated 4.7 on Google Play. Refunds go to the wallet only. We compared the two in detail in [Astrotalk vs AstroYogi for Marriage Predictions](https://supastro.com/blog/astrotalk-vs-astroyogi-marriage-predictions).

## 3. InstaAstro: the cheapest way to try a human astrologer

InstaAstro (founded 2021) charges ₹1 for the first consultation, then ₹20 to ₹142 a minute for calls. It raised a $12 million Series A in August 2026, partly to build AI tools, and reported ₹111 crore operating revenue in FY26. It is rated 4.7 on Google Play from 109,117 ratings. Refund requests must be made within 2 hours of payment.

## 4. Anytime Astro: best for regional languages

Anytime Astro listed 188 astrologers when we checked, in 16 languages including Odia, Punjabi and Kannada, at ₹10 to ₹330 a minute. Its "24 Hours Money Back Guarantee" can be used once per user and can be paid back to your original payment method. It is rated 4.7 from 39,531 ratings. Its astrologer count varies across its own pages, from "100+" to "1500+".

## 5. AstroSage Varta: consultations next to India's biggest free kundli

AstroSage's Varta service lists human astrologers from ₹15 to ₹100 a minute and AI astrologer personas from ₹11 to ₹35 a minute. Its real strength is the free AstroSage Kundli app, with all 16 divisional charts, three dasha systems and KP. See [Best AstroSage Alternatives](https://supastro.com/blog/best-astrosage-alternatives).

## 6 to 10: MyPandit, GaneshaSpeaks, Melooha, AstroSure.ai and AstroVed

- **MyPandit** (since 2019): ₹22 to ₹130 a minute and astrologer-written reports. Its policy states that paid minutes are not refundable "under any circumstances".
- **GaneshaSpeaks** (since 2003): reports "handwritten by expert astrologers… not AI", in the Bejan Daruwalla tradition, and live astrologers. See [Clickastro vs GaneshaSpeaks](https://supastro.com/blog/clickastro-vs-ganeshaspeaks-wealth-report).
- **Melooha** (founded 2022): AI answers sold as question packs, ₹57 to ₹95 a question, and the only one we found that refunds to your original payment method by default.
- **AstroSure.ai** (founded 2024, $6 million seed in January 2025): a free AI astrology assistant; its pricing and refund pages were not publicly available when we checked.
- **AstroVed**: built around pujas and remedies, with consultations at ₹15 to ₹60 a minute; rated 3.4 on Google Play.

## What are the red flags when choosing an astrologer online?

India has no law written specifically for online astrology. In August 2026 the Department of Consumer Affairs told the Central Information Commission that no such guidelines exist. General consumer and advertising rules still apply, and they give you a useful checklist:

1. **Guarantees.** ASCI's CEO has said apps should avoid absolute claims such as "100% guarantee", and that claims about past performance must be backed by data. A lawyer quoted by Storyboard18 notes that definite promises about marriage, jobs or money could count as misleading advertising under the Consumer Protection Act.
2. **Fear, then a fix for sale.** A frightening reading followed by an expensive remedy, gemstone or puja is the oldest pattern in the industry.
3. **False urgency and inflated "list" prices.** India's 2023 dark-pattern guidelines cover false urgency and misleading pricing. Struck-through prices far above the real price and countdown recharge offers deserve suspicion.
4. **No method.** Ask which house, lord, divisional chart and dasha a prediction rests on. An astrologer who cannot say is guessing.
5. **Your data.** Birth details are personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Check what the app does with them.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which app is better than Astrotalk?

It depends on what bothers you about Astrotalk. For a similar human marketplace, AstroYogi and InstaAstro are rated 4.7 on Google Play. To avoid per-minute billing entirely, Supastro computes your chart and answers questions on a free tier, with each claim tied to your chart.

### Is there a free alternative to Astrotalk?

Several platforms offer a free first chat (AstroYogi, MyPandit) or a ₹1 first consultation (InstaAstro). For ongoing free use, Supastro's free tier includes 39 free tools and 5 starter credits, and AstroSage Kundli gives a detailed free kundli.

### Do any astrology apps refund money if the prediction is wrong?

No. Every platform we checked excludes the accuracy or outcome of predictions from refunds. Refunds, where offered, cover technical problems, irrelevant answers or duplicate charges, and usually go to an in-app wallet.

### Is AI astrology cheaper than talking to an astrologer?

Usually. A 20-minute human consultation at ₹40 a minute costs ₹800. AI apps charge per question instead: Melooha ₹57 to ₹95 a question, Supastro 2 to 4 credits a question (15 credits a month on its ₹599 plan), with free tiers on both.

### Can I trust online astrologers?

Trust the method, not the app. A good astrologer explains which house, lord, divisional chart and dasha a prediction is based on, avoids guarantees and does not push expensive remedies. Platforms vet astrologers in different ways, and quality varies within every platform.
