What does "AI astrology free chat" really mean?
Three different things wear the label. A general chatbot (ChatGPT, Gemini) answers from whatever it works out or remembers. An astrology app computes your kundli (birth chart) first and lets the AI explain it. A marketplace gives bots astrologer names and bills by the minute.
People are switching to the first kind. Searches for "ai astrology" and "ai astrologer" in India fell from about 165,000 a month (December 2025 to March 2026) to 74,000 in September 2026, while "chatgpt astrology ai free" rose from 390 to 18,100 (Google keyword data). A chatbot can be right; you can't tell unless it shows its numbers.

Beats us on: no sign-up, more free questions, 15 languages. The catch: after the welcome coins, 10 coins a question; "unlimited" means a 24-hour pass for 151 coins; it sells a gemstone report.
3. AskSoma: best for a free question every day
It computes your kundli with the Swiss Ephemeris on Lahiri, then gives 3 free questions on day one and 1 a day after, no card. Extra messages cost reward credits, earned through streaks. Beats us on: free volume. The catch: sign-up; "unlimited" only on the annual plan (₹4,999), subject to fair use; no refunds; a free gemstone suggestion tool.
4. Om.AI: best for Hindi and a daily habit
Computes your Kundli, Navamsa (the D9 chart) and dasha on Lahiri. First question free; opening the app daily earns 19 more by day 90. Beats us on: Hindi, phone apps. The catch: its chat page asks you to sign in (another of its pages says no login); Premium caps at 500 questions a month, and Premium remedies include gemstone suggestions.
5. JyotishVed AI: best for a five-question trial
Lahiri chart, and seven specialist agents reading the same figures. Five free chats, lifetime, no card. Beats us on: more free questions than our starter credits. The catch: then ₹399 a month for 30 chats or ₹849 for 100.
6. ChatGPT: best free tutor, if you check it
The free plan gives "unlimited text chats" within abuse limits, and ChatGPT also works signed out. OpenAI says it writes and runs Python for some analysis tasks; data analysis is "limited" on the free plan. Beats everyone on: free volume. The catch: free chats can train OpenAI's models unless you switch that off.
7 to 10: the rest
- Melooha: one free question about your chart; its free, unlimited Astropedia answers only general questions. It accepts an unknown birth time.
- Gemini: free with a Google Account; Google says human reviewers read some chats.
- Vedic AstroGPT: shows how each answer was derived, but every question is bought.
- AstroSage AI: first chat free, then AI astrologers at ₹11 to ₹35 a minute; its pages don't say how they read your chart.
Not ranked: Astrotalk lists no AI astrologer (human chat ₹18 to ₹83 a minute after a free first chat), and VedVaani's site now sells reports and says nothing about how its chat works.
Is there an unlimited AI astrology free chat?
No app that computes your chart gives unlimited free chat. What "unlimited" means on each page:

Can ChatGPT or Gemini read your kundli for free?
Yes, if you make them do the arithmetic and check it. Neither has to work in the Vedic zodiac: if you don't ask for sidereal positions on Lahiri, you can't know which zodiac you got. The two zodiacs stand 24°14' apart today (Supastro's engine, 5 November 2026). That moves your Moon 1.82 nakshatras (birth stars): wrong star, wrong dasha dates, wrong reading.

How do you check if an AI astrologer computed your chart?
- Ask for the ayanamsa. Lahiri is about 24°14' today. No number means it never chose a zodiac.
- Check your Moon's birth star and quarter against a computed kundli. A miss ends the test.
- Ask for your current mahadasha and antardasha (main and sub period) with dates. Months off means a different Moon.
- Ask what changes if your birth time is two hours off. A real chart has an answer.
