Best Astrology Apps in India (2026): 10 Apps Compared on Price, Language and Refunds

Disclosure: Supastro publishes this list and makes one of the apps on it. Every competitor figure comes from the company's own site or its Google Play or App Store listing for India. Figures last checked on 25 October 2026. Per-minute prices are what astrologer cards showed that day; they change by the hour. Nobody paid to be listed, and nobody gets a star rating from us.

What separates one Indian astrology app from another?

Four things, none of them the horoscope.

  1. Who reads your chart. Software that calculates it and leaves the reading to you, a human astrologer paid by the minute, or an AI that answers questions.
  2. How you pay. Per minute, per report, or one flat monthly price.
  3. Your language. Some apps translate the menus. Fewer answer in your language.
  4. What you get back if it goes wrong. Most marketplaces refund only to their own wallet, if at all.

Every app below starts from your kundli: where each planet stood at your exact minute and place of birth, measured against the stars. What happens next is where your money goes.

Ratings are Google Play India, with the number of ratings in brackets, on 25 October 2026.

1. AstroSage: the most free calculation, in nine languages

AstroSage gives away more calculation than any app here: all 16 divisional charts (sub-charts read for marriage, career and the rest), the KP system (Krishnamurti Paddhati, a finer method of dividing the chart), and a choice of ayanamsa, the correction that shifts Western zodiac positions to Vedic ones. The Android app runs in English and eight Indian languages. The catch: ads, AI astrologers billed by the minute, and a gemstone shop beside the readings. More in Supastro vs AstroSage.

2. Drik Panchang: the calendar half of Indian astrology

Drik Panchang calculates the panchang, the daily Hindu almanac of lunar day, star and good and bad hours, for your own city. It carries nine regional panchangs, from Assamese to Tamil, works offline on Android, and sells no remedies. Its free kundali runs from the birth chart (D1) to its 60th division (D60). It interprets nothing.

3. Astrotalk: the biggest bench of human astrologers

Astrotalk is the largest marketplace in India by installs, and its own pricing page puts a typical session at ₹500 to ₹1,500. Two things bothered me. Its website promises "AI astrology predictions" while its Play listing says it uses no "computer-generated predictions". And its first-chat offer reads three ways: free, ₹9 a minute, or the first 60 seconds free. More in Supastro vs Astrotalk.

4. AstroYogi: the cheapest human chat that day

Eighteen of the 24 astrologer cards I saw were on a ₹12-a-minute deal, against regular prices of ₹22 to ₹45. New users get five minutes free. The iPhone app runs in eight languages. Refunds go to the AstroYogi wallet only.

5. InstaAstro: the cheapest way to try a human astrologer

Your first chat or call costs ₹1. After that, ₹18 to ₹100 a minute on the cards I saw. The shop sells online pujas and gemstones, and its terms rule out refunds for "dissatisfaction related to the accuracy or outcome of predictions".

6. Clickastro: printed reports and South Indian matching

Clickastro sells computer-written reports and does the South Indian porutham, the Tamil and Kerala method of matching two birth stars. Its compatibility report comes in eight languages, and the premium version is listed at ₹399. Its parent company says Bharat Matrimony uses its astrology engine. It also sells online pujas.

7. Om.AI: AI answers in your own language

Om.AI's menus are in English and Hindi, and its AI replies in the language you type, including Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi. The first question is free, and it offers a 24-hour money-back guarantee on Android and iPhone, the only promise like it I found. It does not publish prices outside the app.

8. Supastro: AI held to your computed chart (ours)

Supastro computes your full kundli from NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) ephemeris data, the planetary positions NASA publishes, on the Lahiri ayanamsa, before any AI writes. Then it checks each chat answer's numbers, dates and placements against that chart. You start free with 5 credits and 39 free tools, then pay a flat ₹599 a month for 15 credits. No per-minute meter, no gemstones, no paid pujas.

9. AskSoma: an AI astrologer on WhatsApp

AskSoma runs on the web, phones, desktop, WhatsApp and Telegram, with rashifal pages (daily forecasts by Moon sign) in six Indian languages. Free users get three questions on day one, then one a day. Its own llms.txt file disagrees with its pricing page on the free allowance and the starting price; trust the pricing page. More in Supastro vs AskSoma.

10. Kalnirnay: the printed almanac, on your phone

Kalnirnay's Android app carries the almanac in Marathi, Hindi, English and Gujarati: panchang, festivals, monthly forecasts, marriage dates and reminders. It is a calendar first; its web panchang skips Rahu Kalam, the daily slot avoided for new starts.

Also checked: GaneshaSpeaks (humans at ₹35 to ₹53 a minute on four cards) and Melooha (AI answers in English, Hindi or Hinglish; reports from ₹1,424).

How do these apps charge you, and what do you get back?

Per-minute billing is where users lose money. A 20-minute chat at ₹30 a minute is ₹600, inside Astrotalk's own ₹500 to ₹1,500 a session. Then read the refund rules. AstroYogi refunds to its wallet only. AstroSage calls its wallet "non-refundable". InstaAstro and AstroYogi both exclude refunds for an inaccurate reading. Flat-price AI apps cap your spend instead, but AskSoma refunds nothing either, and neither does Supastro: used credits and used plan time are non-refundable, and a prediction that does not come true is not grounds for one. Om.AI's 24-hour money-back stands alone.

Where does Supastro fall short for Indian users?

Where it matters most in India. Supastro is English only. It has no Play Store or App Store app; you install it from the browser. It has no human astrologer, no KP system, and only the Lahiri ayanamsa. If you need Hindi, a phone call or KP, use AstroSage, Om.AI or a marketplace above. If you want an answer from your own chart with no meter running, get your free kundli and ask.

What else do people ask about astrology apps in India?

Which is the most used astrology app in India?

By Google Play installs, Astrotalk (100M+), then AstroSage (50M+), as of 25 October 2026. Installs measure reach, not whether your chart was calculated correctly.

Which astrology app in India is free?

AstroSage's kundli, Drik Panchang and Kalnirnay are free with ads. Om.AI gives one free question, AskSoma three, InstaAstro a ₹1 first chat. Supastro has 39 free tools and 5 starter credits that never expire.

Do astrology apps in India give refunds?

Rarely. Astrotalk refunds nothing once a call connects. AstroYogi refunds to its wallet only. AstroSage's wallet is non-refundable. Om.AI offers a 24-hour money-back guarantee, the only one I found.

Does Astrotalk use AI?

Its own pages disagree: the website promises AI predictions, the Play listing says it uses no computer-generated predictions. Treat it as a marketplace of human astrologers.

Which astrology apps work in Hindi, Tamil or Bengali?

AstroSage's Android app runs in eight Indian languages plus English. Om.AI replies in the language you type. Clickastro's reports come in eight languages. AskSoma has rashifal pages in six. Supastro is English only.

Which Indian astrology apps do not sell gemstones?

Drik Panchang, Om.AI, AskSoma and Supastro sell none. AstroSage, Astrotalk, AstroYogi and InstaAstro run shops that do. A remedy read from your chart never needs a purchase.
