Cancer Horoscope 2027 (Karka)

The year for Cancer Moon sign, from where Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu move in 2027. Every date is computed; every verdict comes from Phaladeepika's chapter on transits.

My verdict · Hardest count

The weakest count of 2027. Ketu sits on your Moon sign and Rahu on your 7th all year.

Ketu on your Moon sign and Rahu in your 7th house (partner, deals) all year: no help from the nodes, and the text gives Rahu in the 7th losses. Relationships and contracts carry the strain.
Jupiter is on your Moon sign from 25 January to 26 June. It is exalted in Cancer, and the text says an exalted planet in a hard house does no harm (26.31), so this stretch is neutral rather than costly.
Your one money window: Jupiter in your 2nd house from 26 June to 26 November, at its strongest from 15 August to 1 October (and briefly in January, until 25 January).
Saturn moves between your 9th and 10th houses, neither of which it favours.

What to do: Keep commitments small, read every contract twice, and use August and September for money.

This is for Cancer as your Moon sign (rashi), the sign the Moon was in when you were born, counted in the sidereal zodiac. It is often not your Western Sun sign. Find your Moon sign

When the slow planets act most

Phaladeepika says Saturn gives its results in the last ten degrees of a sign, Jupiter in the middle ten, and Rahu all through the sign (26.25). In 2027 that gives these windows for Cancer:

Saturn, 11 Mar 2027 – 3 Jun 2027: Pisces, your 9th house (luck, elders, travel) · hard
Saturn, 20 Oct 2027 – 31 Dec 2027: Pisces, your 9th house (luck, elders, travel) · hard
Jupiter, 15 Aug 2027 – 1 Oct 2027: Leo, your 2nd house (money, family, speech) · helps

Planet by planet

Saturn

Phaladeepika 26.22–23

1 Jan 2027 – 3 Jun 2027
Pisces, your 9th house (luck, elders, travel). Not one of Saturn's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: money losses, blocks to good work, grief over a father figure.
3 Jun 2027 – 20 Oct 2027
Aries, your 10th house (work, reputation). Not one of Saturn's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: a wrong move, loss of standing, illness. Aries is Saturn's sign of fall, which makes a hard house harder (1.6, 26.32). In 2027, though, Saturn stays in the first few degrees of Aries, outside the last ten where it acts (26.25): a preview of 2028.
20 Oct 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Pisces, your 9th house (luck, elders, travel). Not one of Saturn's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: money losses, blocks to good work, grief over a father figure.

Jupiter

Phaladeepika 26.18–20

1 Jan 2027 – 25 Jan 2027
Leo, your 2nd house (money, family, speech). A supporting house for Jupiter. The text's result for this house: money, a happy home, and your words carry weight.
25 Jan 2027 – 26 Jun 2027
Cancer, your 1st house (health, mood). Not one of Jupiter's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: leaving familiar ground, heavy spending, ill will. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, and the text says an exalted planet in a hard house does no harm (1.6, 26.31).
26 Jun 2027 – 26 Nov 2027
Leo, your 2nd house (money, family, speech). A supporting house for Jupiter. The text's result for this house: money, a happy home, and your words carry weight.
26 Nov 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Virgo, your 3rd house (effort, courage, siblings). Not one of Jupiter's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: loss of position, distance from friends, blocks in business.

Rahu

Phaladeepika 26.2 and 26.24

1 Jan 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Capricorn, your 7th house (partner, deals). Not one of Rahu's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: losses.

Ketu

Phaladeepika 26.2

1 Jan 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Cancer, your 1st house (health, mood). Not one of Ketu's supporting houses.

Good houses from the Moon (26.2): Saturn the 3rd, 6th and 11th; Jupiter the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th; Rahu and Ketu, which the text says behave like the Sun, the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th. Vedha (26.5, 26.7): a good house gives nothing while another planet sits in its paired house. Here only Saturn and Jupiter are checked against each other; the faster planets add obstructions for days at a time, which Your Transits Today checks daily.

Sade Sati and Dhaiya in 2027

None for Cancer in 2027: Saturn never sits in your 12th, 1st, 2nd, 4th or 8th house this year.

Sade Sati is the roughly seven and a half years Saturn takes to cross the sign before your Moon sign, your Moon sign and the sign after it. Kantaka Shani is Saturn in the 4th from your Moon, Ashtama Shani Saturn in the 8th; each lasts about two and a half years (together called Dhaiya). Your exact Sade Sati dates

What else has to be computed before this becomes a prediction?

LayerWhat I computeHow it can change the answer

Your dasha (planetary period)Which planet's period and sub-period you are running (Vimshottari, cross-checked with Yogini)With no supporting period, a good transit stays in the background.

Ashtakavarga pointsHow many points the transiting planet has, in your own chart, in the sign it crossesPhaladeepika: a planet crossing a sign with more points gives good results, even from the 6th, 8th or 12th (26.41).

Questions people ask

Is 2027 a good year for Cancer Moon sign?

Hardest count. The weakest count of 2027. Ketu sits on your Moon sign and Rahu on your 7th all year. Keep commitments small, read every contract twice, and use August and September for money.

Is Cancer (Karka) in Sade Sati in 2027?

No. Saturn does not pass the 12th, 1st or 2nd house from Cancer in 2027, so there is no Sade Sati, and it does not sit in the 4th or 8th either.

When is Jupiter good for Cancer in 2027?

1 Jan 2027 to 25 Jan 2027, in your 2nd house; 26 Jun 2027 to 26 Nov 2027, in your 2nd house. Jupiter acts most in the middle ten degrees of a sign (Phaladeepika 26.25), which in 2027 means 15 August to 1 October, in Leo.

What do Rahu and Ketu do for Cancer in 2027?

Rahu in Capricorn, your 7th house (not a helpful house for the nodes) and Ketu in Cancer, your 1st house (not a helpful house for the nodes), for the whole year (since 5 December 2026, until June 2028). Phaladeepika says the nodes behave like the Sun, helpful in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th from the Moon (26.2).

Where do the 2027 eclipses fall for Cancer?

6 Feb 2027: annular solar eclipse in Capricorn, your 7th house (not seen from India); 21 Feb 2027: penumbral lunar eclipse in Leo, your 2nd house (a faint one, seen from India); 18 Jul 2027: penumbral lunar eclipse in Capricorn, your 7th house (a faint one, seen from India); 2 Aug 2027: total solar eclipse in Cancer, your 1st house (seen from India); 17 Aug 2027: penumbral lunar eclipse in Capricorn, your 7th house (not seen from India).

Is this for my Sun sign or my Moon sign?

Your Moon sign (rashi): the sign the Moon was in when you were born, in the sidereal zodiac Indian astrology uses. Phaladeepika says transits are read from the Moon's sign (26.1). It is often not the sign a Western horoscope gives you. A free kundli shows your Moon sign in a minute.
