Scorpio Horoscope 2027 (Vrishchika)

The year for Scorpio Moon sign, from where Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu move in 2027. Every date is computed; every verdict comes from Phaladeepika's chapter on transits.

My verdict · Strong year

Strong. Rahu backs your effort all year; career pressure mid-year turns to gains in late November.

Rahu in your 3rd house (effort, courage) all year: a good house for the nodes, and the text gives it happiness.
Saturn leaves your 5th house, where the text says it drains money and muddles the mind, on 3 June. It returns there on 20 October. In between it sits in your 6th, a good house, but in Aries, its sign of fall, so it gives little.
Jupiter is in your 9th (luck, elders) from 25 January to 26 June, then your 10th until 26 November, where the text warns of risk to position: expect career pressure. Gains start when Jupiter reaches your 11th on 26 November.

What to do: Push hard on your own projects all year; at work, stay steady from July to November.

When the slow planets act most

Phaladeepika says Saturn gives its results in the last ten degrees of a sign, Jupiter in the middle ten, and Rahu all through the sign (26.25). In 2027 that gives these windows for Scorpio:

Saturn, 11 Mar 2027 – 3 Jun 2027: Pisces, your 5th house (children, studies, ideas) · hard
Saturn, 20 Oct 2027 – 31 Dec 2027: Pisces, your 5th house (children, studies, ideas) · hard
Jupiter, 15 Aug 2027 – 1 Oct 2027: Leo, your 10th house (work, reputation) · hard

Planet by planet

Saturn

Phaladeepika 26.22–23

1 Jan 2027 – 3 Jun 2027
Pisces, your 5th house (children, studies, ideas). Not one of Saturn's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: money declines, worry over children, a muddled mind.
3 Jun 2027 – 26 Jun 2027
Aries, your 6th house (rivals, debts, illness). A supporting house, but Jupiter in your 9th house blocks it (vedha), so the good result is held back. The text's result for this house: happiness all round. But Aries is Saturn's sign of fall, and the text says a planet in its fall gives nothing even from a good house (1.6, 26.32).
26 Jun 2027 – 20 Oct 2027
Aries, your 6th house (rivals, debts, illness). A supporting house for Saturn. The text's result for this house: happiness all round. But Aries is Saturn's sign of fall, and the text says a planet in its fall gives nothing even from a good house (1.6, 26.32).
20 Oct 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Pisces, your 5th house (children, studies, ideas). Not one of Saturn's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: money declines, worry over children, a muddled mind.

Jupiter

Phaladeepika 26.18–20

1 Jan 2027 – 25 Jan 2027
Leo, your 10th house (work, reputation). Not one of Jupiter's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: risk to property, position and children.
25 Jan 2027 – 26 Jun 2027
Cancer, your 9th house (luck, elders, travel). A supporting house for Jupiter. The text's result for this house: prosperity of every kind. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, which the text says gives full results (26.31), though in 2027 it crosses only the last degrees of Cancer, past the middle part where Jupiter acts most (26.25).
26 Jun 2027 – 26 Nov 2027
Leo, your 10th house (work, reputation). Not one of Jupiter's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: risk to property, position and children.
26 Nov 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Virgo, your 11th house (gains, friends). A supporting house for Jupiter. The text's result for this house: children, a new position and honour.

Rahu

Phaladeepika 26.2 and 26.24

1 Jan 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Capricorn, your 3rd house (effort, courage, siblings). A supporting house for Rahu. The text's result for this house: happiness.

Ketu

Phaladeepika 26.2

1 Jan 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Cancer, your 9th house (luck, elders, travel). Not one of Ketu's supporting houses.

Good houses from the Moon (26.2): Saturn the 3rd, 6th and 11th; Jupiter the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th; Rahu and Ketu, which the text says behave like the Sun, the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th. Vedha (26.5, 26.7): a good house gives nothing while another planet sits in its paired house. Here only Saturn and Jupiter are checked against each other; the faster planets add obstructions for days at a time, which Your Transits Today checks daily.

Sade Sati and Dhaiya in 2027

None for Scorpio in 2027: Saturn never sits in your 12th, 1st, 2nd, 4th or 8th house this year.

Sade Sati is the roughly seven and a half years Saturn takes to cross the sign before your Moon sign, your Moon sign and the sign after it. Kantaka Shani is Saturn in the 4th from your Moon, Ashtama Shani Saturn in the 8th; each lasts about two and a half years (together called Dhaiya). Your exact Sade Sati dates

What else has to be computed before this becomes a prediction?

LayerWhat I computeHow it can change the answer

Your dasha (planetary period)Which planet's period and sub-period you are running (Vimshottari, cross-checked with Yogini)With no supporting period, a good transit stays in the background.

Ashtakavarga pointsHow many points the transiting planet has, in your own chart, in the sign it crossesPhaladeepika: a planet crossing a sign with more points gives good results, even from the 6th, 8th or 12th (26.41).

Questions people ask

Is 2027 a good year for Scorpio Moon sign?

Strong year. Strong. Rahu backs your effort all year; career pressure mid-year turns to gains in late November. Push hard on your own projects all year; at work, stay steady from July to November.

Is Scorpio (Vrishchika) in Sade Sati in 2027?

No. Saturn does not pass the 12th, 1st or 2nd house from Scorpio in 2027, so there is no Sade Sati, and it does not sit in the 4th or 8th either.

When is Jupiter good for Scorpio in 2027?

25 Jan 2027 to 26 Jun 2027, in your 9th house; 26 Nov 2027 to 31 Dec 2027, in your 11th house. Jupiter acts most in the middle ten degrees of a sign (Phaladeepika 26.25), which in 2027 means 15 August to 1 October, in Leo.

What do Rahu and Ketu do for Scorpio in 2027?

Rahu in Capricorn, your 3rd house (a helpful house for the nodes) and Ketu in Cancer, your 9th house (not a helpful house for the nodes), for the whole year (since 5 December 2026, until June 2028). Phaladeepika says the nodes behave like the Sun, helpful in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th from the Moon (26.2).

Where do the 2027 eclipses fall for Scorpio?

6 Feb 2027: annular solar eclipse in Capricorn, your 3rd house (not seen from India); 21 Feb 2027: penumbral lunar eclipse in Leo, your 10th house (a faint one, seen from India); 18 Jul 2027: penumbral lunar eclipse in Capricorn, your 3rd house (a faint one, seen from India); 2 Aug 2027: total solar eclipse in Cancer, your 9th house (seen from India); 17 Aug 2027: penumbral lunar eclipse in Capricorn, your 3rd house (not seen from India).

Is this for my Sun sign or my Moon sign?

Your Moon sign (rashi): the sign the Moon was in when you were born, in the sidereal zodiac Indian astrology uses. Phaladeepika says transits are read from the Moon's sign (26.1). It is often not the sign a Western horoscope gives you. A free kundli shows your Moon sign in a minute.
