Leo Horoscope 2027 (Simha)

The year for Leo Moon sign, from where Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu move in 2027. Every date is computed; every verdict comes from Phaladeepika's chapter on transits.

My verdict · Mixed year

Ashtama Shani bites in spring, lifts from June to October, then returns. Rahu wins your fights.

Ashtama Shani (Saturn in the 8th house from your Moon) runs until 3 June and again from 20 October. It is at its sharpest from 11 March to 3 June.
From 3 June to 20 October Saturn moves to your 9th: a break from the 8th, though the 9th is not a good house for Saturn either.
Rahu in your 6th house (rivals, debts) all year is a good placement for the nodes, and the text gives it happiness. Disputes and competition go your way.
Jupiter crosses your Moon sign from 26 June, which the text reads as heavy spending and leaving familiar ground, then reaches your 2nd (money) on 26 November.

What to do: Do the careful, defensive work in spring; fight your battles any time; spend with a plan from July.

This is for Leo as your Moon sign (rashi), the sign the Moon was in when you were born, counted in the sidereal zodiac. It is often not your Western Sun sign. Find your Moon sign

When the slow planets act most

Phaladeepika says Saturn gives its results in the last ten degrees of a sign, Jupiter in the middle ten, and Rahu all through the sign (26.25). In 2027 that gives these windows for Leo:

Saturn, 11 Mar 2027 – 3 Jun 2027: Pisces, your 8th house (obstacles, sudden events) · hard
Saturn, 20 Oct 2027 – 31 Dec 2027: Pisces, your 8th house (obstacles, sudden events) · hard
Jupiter, 15 Aug 2027 – 1 Oct 2027: Leo, your 1st house (health, mood) · hard

Planet by planet

Saturn

Phaladeepika 26.22–23

1 Jan 2027 – 3 Jun 2027
Pisces, your 8th house (obstacles, sudden events). Not one of Saturn's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: losses (children, friends, money) and illness.
3 Jun 2027 – 20 Oct 2027
Aries, your 9th house (luck, elders, travel). Not one of Saturn's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: money losses, blocks to good work, grief over a father figure. Aries is Saturn's sign of fall, which makes a hard house harder (1.6, 26.32). In 2027, though, Saturn stays in the first few degrees of Aries, outside the last ten where it acts (26.25): a preview of 2028.
20 Oct 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Pisces, your 8th house (obstacles, sudden events). Not one of Saturn's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: losses (children, friends, money) and illness.

Jupiter

Phaladeepika 26.18–20

1 Jan 2027 – 25 Jan 2027
Leo, your 1st house (health, mood). Not one of Jupiter's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: leaving familiar ground, heavy spending, ill will.
25 Jan 2027 – 26 Jun 2027
Cancer, your 12th house (spending, sleep, distance). Not one of Jupiter's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: grief and fear over property. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, and the text says an exalted planet in a hard house does no harm (1.6, 26.31).
26 Jun 2027 – 26 Nov 2027
Leo, your 1st house (health, mood). Not one of Jupiter's supporting houses. The text's result for this house: leaving familiar ground, heavy spending, ill will.
26 Nov 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Virgo, your 2nd house (money, family, speech). A supporting house for Jupiter. The text's result for this house: money, a happy home, and your words carry weight.

Rahu

Phaladeepika 26.2 and 26.24

1 Jan 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Capricorn, your 6th house (rivals, debts, illness). A supporting house for Rahu. The text's result for this house: happiness.

Ketu

Phaladeepika 26.2

1 Jan 2027 – 31 Dec 2027
Cancer, your 12th house (spending, sleep, distance). Not one of Ketu's supporting houses.

Good houses from the Moon (26.2): Saturn the 3rd, 6th and 11th; Jupiter the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th; Rahu and Ketu, which the text says behave like the Sun, the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th. Vedha (26.5, 26.7): a good house gives nothing while another planet sits in its paired house. Here only Saturn and Jupiter are checked against each other; the faster planets add obstructions for days at a time, which Your Transits Today checks daily.
